FC United of Manchester Academy ’A’ team registered a 5-1 home win against iSports FC Altrincham on the Broadhurst Park 3G on Wednesday afternoon to temporarily go top of the ECFA/AoC North West Men’s Regional Invitation League (East).

The Young Reds opened the scoring after just 9 minutes when CHRISTIAN EDOKPAYI was first to a through ball before beating the Altrincham ’keeper and rolling his shot into the unguarded net.

On 40 minutes, it was 2-0. The visiting ’keeper could only parry an effort leaving OSMAN AGERSO free to bundle the ball home.

Three minutes before the half time interval, FAVOUR BOLAJI made it 3-0, as he headed home from a corner.

iSports FC Altrincham pulled one back on 47 minutes before FAVOUR BOLAJI restored FC United’s three goal advantage on 63 minutes after great build up play on the left.

JOSH MBALA made sure of the result on 81 minutes after dispossessing the visiting full back and then firing past the Altrincham ’keeper at the near post.
