CREWE ALEXANDRA YOUTH 2 FC UNITED of MANCHESTER YOUTH 4
FC United of Manchester Youth team got back to winning ways with a 4-2 away win against Crewe Alexandra Youth at the Alexandra Soccer Centre on Wednesday afternoon in their latest National League u19 Alliance Division ’J’ league fixture.

The visitors went into an early lead when a Crewe defender unluckily conceded an own-goal after just 9 minutes, and the Young Reds’ advantage was doubled on 28 minutes when MAX LEWENS intercepted a back pass to make it 2-0.

Another own goal, this time by FC United’s CONNOR IKIN, on 50 minutes, reduced the leeway, and on 61 minutes, the home side drew level, making the score 2-2.

But the visitors weren’t to be denied. A chipped shot by XAVIER IWEGBU on 74 minutes put FC United back ahead and substitute DILLON KIRKMAN made sure of the result with a direct free-kick with twelve minutes remaining.
