FC UNITED of MANCHESTER ACADEMY 'A' TEAM 2 UFCA 'A' TEAM 3
FC United’s Academy ’A’ team, comprising mostly of second year players, went down by the odd goal in five against the Ultimate Football Coaching Academy ’A’ team on the Broadhurst Park 3G on Wednesday afternoon in their latest pre-season challenge match.
The visitors from West Yorkshire went in front after just five minutes, JUNAYD PANDOR sending Tom Bamber the wrong way from the penalty spot after having been tripped just inside the box.
The Young Reds drew level on 28 minutes, also from the 12 yard mark. Abdul Muktadir was adjudged to have been impeded inside the area, and KANE STOCKLEY made no mistake with his spot kick.
Three minutes later, and UFCA regained the lead. Tom Bamber was only able to get one hand on a fiercely taken JUANYD PANDOR free-kick, and the effort was adjudged to have crossed the line, makingthe half-time score 2-1.
On 79 minutes, the visitors’ ANDRE TAVENIER curled home a third goal to make it 3-1 for UFCA ’A’ and although DILLON KIRKMAN pulled one back for FC United from an Adam O’Grady left wing cross on 88 minutes, the visitors were able to hold on for the remaining moments to record a 3-2 win.
