An FC United of Manchester Academy XI recorded a fairly comfortable 4-0 home win against the International Football Institute, a touring team from Florida, U.S.A., in Monday afternoon’s hastily-arranged international friendly match on the Broadhurst Park 3G.

NIALL WEBB opened the scoring for the home side on 30 minutes from an Adam O’Grady left wing cross to make the half-time score 1-0.

On 48 minutes, ABDUL MUKTADIR made it 2-0 when he cut inside from the left touchline before curling the ball over the visitors’ keeper from the edge of the area and into the net.

On 64 minutes, the same player made it 3-0 when he netted from close range after Max Lewens’ effort moments beforehand had been denied.

And MARSHALL FOX made sure of the result on 68 minutes with a rasping shot from fully 35 yards out to make the final score 4-0.
