FC United of Manchester Youth crashed out of the National League u19 Alliance League Cup competition at the Second Round stage on Wednesday afternoon following this 2-6 home defeat against high-flying Chester FC Youth on the Broadhurst Park 3G.

The visitors got off to a storming start when DANIEL HARDMAN netted from a corner after just 4 minutes.

On 10 minutes, IWAN MURRAY made it 2-0 when he slipped the ball under Tom Bamber in the FC United goal.

And on 25 minutes, it was 3-0 when DANIEL HARDMAN added his second from a tight angle.

Two minutes later, Nelson Onwusiri looked to have pulled one back for FC United, but his headed "goal" from a corner was disallowed for a push inside the six yard box.

Into the second half, and the game looked to be all over when substitute LLOYD MARSH-HUGHES powerfully headed home on 55 minutes from a corner.

The home side had other ideas, and pulled one back when STEVE AFFLECK converted from the penalty spot on 66 minutes after having been upended inside the area.

On 68 minutes, it was 2-4 when FC’s MAX LEWENS netted from close in.

But any hopes of a comeback by the Young Reds were dashed on 75 minutes when STUART CRILLY netted from close range.

And a header from ALEX DOWNES on 86 minutes made sure of the final result, 2-6.
