Schools & Youth Groups
In order to maximise the number of young people taking part entry to the ground was free to under 18‘s and accompanying school or youth staff.
Schools, colleges, and youth groups were invited to attend and bring along anti-racist banners, placards, chants and whatever else they considered appropriate to show opposition to racism and support for uniting our communities.
Everybody was asked to arrive at the ground by 2.15pm (coaches by 2pm) so that it would be awash with banners which were then to be paraded around the stadium before the game.
FC United Junior stewards and six club officials were be on hand outside the Social Club to greet and assist schools and youth groups.
The Cemetery End (East Stand) of the ground had been designated as The Youth Stand, as FC United Juniors planned to out-sing and chant the fans in the Manchester Road End (MRE) stand at the opposite end of the ground. Click here to see the stadium layout.
Those who were bringing a group from a school or youth group were asked to contact the club so that we could accommodate them at the game. We requested the approximate numbers of attendees and the names of accompanying adults that required passes. Passes could be be collected from the Ticket Office beside the road at Gigg Lane.

Flags, scarves, badges and the club‘s award winning programme were available at our Truly Red Megastall.

Parking: Coach drivers were advised by police at Gigg Lane
Parking spaces for cars arriving early were plentiful on nearby streets. Fishpool Car Park on Nelson Street is a designated parking area.
