United ReUnited: so what next?

United ReUnited: so what next?Owing to the international break there were no Premier League fixtures on the weekend of the 12th/13th October, so as is traditional the day was designated a #nonleagueday, and we decided to name the day “United ReUnited Day”.

The idea being that regardless of whether we choose to watch MUFC or FCUM or both, we are all Manchester United fans at heart and are all concerned by the club’s current predicament. It’s fair to say that the day itself was an unqualified success on and off the pitch. In previous games, FC United had been putting on performances such as the one people saw against Buxton. However, on Saturday our finishing was utterly ruthless, the midfield imperious and the defence rock solid.

Away from the pitch, we had our biggest attendance of the season, with lots additional MUFC and FC fans coming along to enjoy the day. The social media channels were on fire as we got some great coverage from some prominent accounts and we kept FC United at the centre of the anti-Glazer sentiment as the longest lasting protest against the current ownership of Manchester United.

We will be continuing the momentum of our anti-Glazer protests and will be having more special days like this in future months – so please watch this space. In the meantime, we continue to offer all United fans a warm welcome and a great afternoon as many of you will have enjoyed on Saturday. Our bar takings were certainly immense as people rediscovered the pleasure of drinking beer on the terraces!

Look out for future ’United ReUnited’ days in the near future as we want to keep up this momentum.
