Supporters Direct Cup - admission, travel and unique prize

Supporters Direct Cup - AFC Telford United v FC United of Manchester, Saturday 24th July 2010, kick off 1:30pm

Supporters Direct Shield - Merthyr Town v Scarborough Athletic, Saturday 24th July 2010, kick off 4:30pm.

Both matches are to be played at AFC Telford United, New Bucks Head Stadium, Watling Street, Wellington, Telford, Shropshire, TF1 2TU.

Admission will be pay on the gate and will cover both games. Admission prices are as follows:

Adults - £8
Concessions and unaccompanied under 16s - £5
Under 16s with a paying adult - £1

FC United fans will be given the same area of the ground as when we last played at Telford. There will be full facilities on the concourse and all the day’s events will take place inside the ground, so there will be no need for exit and re-entry. No readmission will be permitted.

Raffle

Supporters coming through the gates will have the chance to buy a lottery ticket that will have a unique prize; the chance to win the trophy for their club in a fans’ penalty shoot-out if the match is drawn.

Fans penalty shoot-out

If the scores are level at full-time in either fixtures, a penalty shoot-out will decide the match. The penalty takers will be decided by a raffle (tickets sold on the gate) which will be drawn at half time of the first match. Five fans’ from each club will be drawn to take a penalty, which will operate in the normal way.

The raffle winner can nominate another fan if they do not actually wish to take the penalty,

Travel

By car:

From M54 Junction 6 - A5223 towards Wellington, straight over first roundabout (retail park). Straight over second roundabout (B5067). Left at third roundabout (Furrows garage). Continue over railway bridge and first right, then turn left into AFC Telford United Car Park

From M54 Junction 7 - Follow the B5067 towards Wellington , continue for about 1 mile
Straight across traffic lights (with Cock hotel on Left). Turn left at traffic lights (with Bucks Head pub on left). Continue past fire station and straight through the traffic lights.
(NO LEFT TURN). At the island turn right (back the way you came) follow the road round to the right and turn left into Club Car Park

Car Parking:

The main car park is situated behind the East Terrace and David Hutchinson Stand, and is accessed via the Haybridge Road entrance.

AFC Telford has good relations with the Telford College of Arts and Technology and addiitonal car parking is often made available on their car park, again accessed from Haybridge Road.

There is a £2 fee for the car park and disabled drivers are free of charge.

Please note: There is no match day parking on the hotel car park behind the Sir Stephen Roberts Stand.

By train:

Wellington(Shropshire) Train Station to AFC Telford United - approximately 20mins walking time.

Turn left outside railway station & up walled steps & turn left. Follow road (The Parade) with car park on left to T-junction. Cross road, continue walking ahead through residential area, Victoria Avenue. Continue along bearing left, to cross-roads Cross straight over to Regents Street - follow road through housing to T-junction. Turn left into Telford Whitehouse Hotel Car Park. Continue past Joshua’s Bar. Club Shop and home turnstiles on right.

Bus number 44, every 10mins during daytime check timetables or Arriva’s website. (www.arriva.co.uk).

Ask for AFC Telford United, Watling Street. On arriving cross road to Telford Whitehouse Hotel Car Park. Continue past Joshua’s Bar. Club Shop and home turnstiles on right.

Coach

Due to insufficient demand we will not be running a supporters coach to this fixture.
