Our Academy is led by two UEFA 'A' Licenced Coaches and their knowledge and hard work with the players brings the most out of the players in their care, and Sandro da Costa is another player who's earned a place in the First Team Squad, and a contract, after impressing in his two years in the FC Academy.

Neil Reynolds explains further
"We've monitored closely the development of Sandro over the last two years, and he's gone from strength to strength with his Academy performances, we've given him time to train with the first team, play in friendlies and he's taken to those really well, he's been on loan playing mens football with Darwen and Longridge Town, last season, and those spells have developed him into the all-round package; he's exciting to watch, exactly what we want to see at Broadhurst Park, he's electric, he's quick, he's agile and his great attitude in the classroom, and on the pitch and that is exactly what has got him this opportunity.
It shows the Academy players that there is a clear route to the first team, and he joins our other Academy players Jack Bennett and Tony Humphries, and he's going to be very much a part of the first team, we're doing it the United way and bringing the youth through
Massive congratulations to Sandro who's earnt this opportunity and a contract and it's up to him know to show everyone how good he really is, and to his Academy classmates the opportunity that's there for them, and anyone who is going to join in September.
