As the calendar clicked on to May and thoughts of summer sports, the temperature dial decided to head downwards. FC United returned to Boothstown to play their home league game against Salford in conditions more like winter than spring.
However, not even a late call up for Thomas Siwka as he and Joe Grantham compared injuries could halt FC’s progress to a 2-0 win.
