NEW PLAYER: Tunde Owolabi

Tunde Owolabi (24) is a centre forward who joins FC United having been Radcliffe’s top scorer last season with 26 goals.

Tunde left Radcliffe and moved to Malta this summer. He was spotted in Manchester Airport on his return to England this week - FC Manager Neil Reynolds was notified and contacted Tunde to invite him to join FC United on a permanent basis.

It has been no secret that Reno has been on the look out for a new striker following injuries to Chris Almond and Louis Myers.

Having agreed all the paper-work, Reno and Club Secretary Viv Ware spent the afternoon of Friday 30th August speaking with representatives of Malta FA and the English FA to secure international clearance, enabling Tunde to be available for selection for Saturday’s home match against Morpeth.

Tunde returns to FC United having represented our Development Team in 2013/2014. In 2017, Tunde scored four goals against FCs Reserves in a 8-1 win for Hyde on the 3G Pitch at Broadhurst Park.
