FC United of Manchester are supporting Mental Health Awareness Week (15 – 19th May)
The World Health Organisation estimates that one in four of us will experience a mental illness at some point in our lives, with FC United part of the week to highlight sport as an important value in promoting mental fitness for all. Participating in the activities can make a positive contribution to a person’s welfare if their experience is one that reflects positive values of sport, physical activity and being creative.
The week-long initiative aims to create a conversation around mental wellbeing, with the activities focused on mindfulness, physical activity and being creative.
We are encouraging local people to join in with a range of activities for children and young people through to adults and older people. Please see below the range of activities on offer throughout the week.
