FC United will be looking to get back to winning ways on Saturday in the league against Alfreton Town. A win would see us move above Alfreton in the League who currently sit in 14th place on 13 points.
Of the 12 league matches we’ve played this season, 8 of them have been against opposition in the top half of the table and we have yet to be beaten by teams outside of the top 9. However our three matches against teams in and around us in the league (all played at home) have ended in draws.
So far this season in the league we have played 12, won 2, drew 5 and lost 5; scored 16 and conceded 18.
In contrast, Alfreton have lost 7 matches but won 4 and drew 1 with notably wins against Harrogate Town and Darlington. Alfreton have conceded the most goals of any team in the league (35) but they have also scored 29 goals, so we could be in for a few goals on Saturday.
Saturday also sees the return of CYCM, which was a regular feature of our pre-match entertainment when we played at Gigg Lane.
So get yourself down to Broadhurst Park early on Saturday, enjoy CYCM and sing your hearts out for the lads when the match kicks off at 3 o’clock.
