There were 1,155 Pound for the Ground tickets sold at the AFC Flyde game on Saturday 12 March and after deducting the £250 prize money £905 was raised for the FC United Development Fund.
The second prize of £50 was claimed at half time by Mike Birtwistle who said that he was going out for a curry with his family after the game, and that the money would help keep the drinks flowing. The fudge hamper was also claimed.
The winning ticket numbers were as follows: -
1st prize of £200 - 0450
2nd prize of £50 - 0503 (claimed)
3rd prize of a fudge hamper - 1009 (claimed)
4th prize of breakfast for two - 0207
The barrels were emptied and counted and thanks to some very healthy bags of change and note donations, the final amount was £329. Many thanks to everyone who contributed on the day and especially our Pound for the Ground sellers.
All in all we raised £1,234 from ticket sales and the barrels at the AFC Fylde match. This brings our running total from matches for the season to £24,189 raised for the Development Fund.
We now have just four home games left to raise a further £6,000 to reach our £30,000 matchday fundraising target for the season. That’s four more games to dig out any spare loose change and foreign coinage you might have for the barrels and four home games left to buy your half time draw tickets.
Our next home game is this coming Saturday against Chorley FC.
