FCUth competition to design the new birthday cards

If you have a child, grandchild, nephew or niece that is a junior member of FCUM then why not invite them to enter the competition to design FC United's new birthday cards for junior members?

So the task is to design one new card that we can send out to either boys or girls and then a different one for the older juniors. Entries must be sent to me in jpeg format to:  chrisb_fcum@yahoo.com by Monday 8th March.

Our welfare officer, Chris Boulderstone explains: "As schools are still closed for the majority of children, I thought I would give them a little task to do to break the monotony of all the online learning. As you know, the juniors all receive a birthday card signed by Reno (manager Neil Reynolds) and/or some of the players.

"Well, we have had the same cards for quite a number of years now and I think it's time for a change. At the moment, we have a design that we send out for girls, one for boys and one for the older juniors but we want to freshen them up."

The competition is in two age group categories: younger juniors up to age 12 are asked to design the card for the younger group and 13-16 year old juniors are asked to design the card for their age group.

The only stipulations are that the card must have the letters FCUth somewhere in the design and must be designed by the child, not by an adult! Obviously, some of the very young ones may need some help, but we want it to be their ideas please.

Entries to be sent to me in jpeg format to:  chrisb_fcum@yahoo.com

Entries to be in by March 8th please and to include the child's membership number.

The winner of each group will receive a signed shirt next season.

The new cards will begin being sent out at the beginning of next season.

Get your little ones designing and good luck!
