FC United vs. Nuneaton Borough: Match Preview

FC United vs. Nuneaton Borough: Match Preview Ahead of todays trip to Nuneaton Borough, here is our match preview as we look to pick up another 3 points.

After a much-needed confidence-boosting win against Colne FC in the FA Cup, we are back in League action as we travel to bottom of the table Nuneaton Borough, who have played a game less than us.

During another busy week for The Reds, we bolstered our squad with the additions of Theo Brierley and Cole Lonsdale. Brierley, is an attacking midfielder who rose through the ranks at Stoke City’s academy whereas Lonsdale used to ply his trade at Bolton Wanderers.

A bit of history was also made this week for star man Kurt Willoughby, who became the first current FC United player to be selected for the England C team, which is primarily made of non-league talent.

We come into this game having not won a game in the league since the middle of August, where our last win was against Altrincham.

For Nuneaton Borough, they come into this game on the back of being knocked out by Brackley Town in the FA Cup and having lost four out of their last five games with their last win coming on the 1st of September against Curzon Ashton.

Borough have also not won a home game this season, which could provide a bit of motivation for FC.

The star man for Nuneaton this season has been Dior Angus. The striker has four goals so far this season and one assist as the former Port Vale man will be looking to make an impact on Saturday.
