This year’s Manchester Day Parade on Sunday 10 June saw a great turnout by FC United and we really made a mark with our "Rocket to Moston", which fitted in perfectly with the parade’s "The Sky’s the Limit" theme. Supporters turned out bedecked in red and white and received a brilliant response from those lining the route of the parade as it wended its way through the streets of Manchester.
We’d really like to thank everyone who turned up on the day to support the FC United contingent on the parade and all the artists for helping us. Those who joined in on the day to carry the float, the flags, the banners, or simply march along proudly singing FC songs really made a difference. Thanks also to our young street dance group and the young footballers and parents from our future partners at Moston Juniors.
In particular though a very big thanks to our designer Ann, the small band of FC supporters - Dale, Neil, Howard and Frank - and also Lee and the students from Oldham College, who all put in many hours of their spare time making the rocket and preparing for the day generally. We ended up with a fantastic display which promoted FC United and our community approach in a fun and enjoyable way.

The organisers of the Manchester Day Parade are running a photographic competition and are asking for people to submit photographs from this year’s parade. There are some great prizes on offer including an i-Pad, a camera and a Kindle Touch. Full details of the competition and how to enter can be found on the Manchester Day Parade website.
Why not choose one of Mark’s photos from his site to enter the competition or enter some of your own.
Once again, thanks to everyone who helped us on the day and in the run-up. We really appreciate it.
