FC United Finance and Risk Committee - four co-owners join the team.

We are pleased to announce that the board have selected four additional members to join FC United’s Finance and Risk Committee.

The Finance and Risk Committee is a sub-committee of the Club Board. The Committee formally meets four times a year with a differing focus at each meeting, based upon the club operation and business cycle.

The main purpose is to ensure that FC United maintains good financial record keeping, planning and accountability. It also acts to ensure the Club remains solvent and in sound financial health, whilst acting in accordance with the Club’s constitution, policies and values. Involvement of members in this important committee is instrumental in helping ensure a transparent and financially healthy club.

We received an excellent response to our announcement on 10th March 2016 requesting suitably qualified and experienced members apply to volunteer for the Finance and Risk Committee.

Following the selection process we are pleased to announce the addition of four new members who will join the Committee with immediate effect.

These are:

- David Boothman
- Tim Leyden
- Matthew Paul
- Barry Roberts

All four are all suitably qualified and come with a broad experience gained in the areas of banking, construction, IT, facilities and project management

The four new recruits join the existing committee members;

- Dave French
- Alex Jones
- Steve Heywood
- Tim Worrall

The Finance and Risk Committee are planning to meet in due course at Broadhurst Park (date to be confirmed). Also in attendance at the meeting will be FC United’s Finance Manager Christine Cottrell.

Minutes from these meetings will be forwarded to the board and subsequently posted in Members Area.
