Cam Belford - Loan Expiry

Cam Belford - Loan ExpiryCam Belford joined us on loan from Nuneaton Borough in September as cover and soon became our first choice #1

An experienced professional he soon brought his experience and talent to bear, as we climbed the table with a superb undefeated run which took us into the play-off places. Cam was part of a back line which picked itself week after week.

As you will have read in the first part of Reno’s Season Review, Neil likes to commence recruitment for the next season as soon as possible, and looked to retain the services of the current squad, and made an offer to Cam for next season.

Cam has decided that he would like to review his options, we respect that decision and so would like to put on record our thanks to a fantastic professional who made many crucial saves, notably the very many he made from the penalty spot which became something of trademark.

Reno would like to thank Cam for his great service this season and said:

"I just want to thank Cam. He had been incredible for us this season and his performances have echoed this. He has developed many friendships in our dressing room including that of myself. We wish him all the best in his career...you never know , our paths may cross again! Thanks Cam."

As a club FC United would like to thank Cam for his wholehearted contribution to the club, not just on the pitch but also off it with his lovely family regular visitors to Broadhurst park, and his openness and warmth to the FC fans, as shown the recent Q&A for example.

We wish him the very best for the future and he’s always welcome back to Broadhurst Park.

We would also like to thank Nuneaton Borough for the loan agreement which brought Cam to FC United way back in September.
