The amount collected in the barrels on Tuesday night at the Buxton home game was £326 plus some Euros and an assortment of other foreign currency. The winner of the Pound for the Ground draw was ticket number 807 and was won by FC volunteer Dave Keelan. Dave volunteers in many guises but can always be found on home match days selling tickets - and just to make it clear he didn’t draw this ticket out himself!
The total ticket sale on Tuesday was £525 and with the winner receiving £200 that means that the Development Fund benefits to the tune of £325. When you add this to the barrels total it means that we raised £651 as the grand total for the Development Fund.
Supporters are reminded to buy a Pound for the Ground ticket at this Saturday’s home game against Belper Town and also to bring along any loose change and holiday foreign currency to donate in the barrels. Ticket sales and the barrel collections at home games will be crucial in us raising the funds we need to finance the new ground and every little does really help and is appreciated.
