There were 1,330 Pound for the Ground draw tickets sold at the Gloucester game last Saturday at Broadhurst Park, so after deducting £250 for prize money, a very healthy £1,080 was left for the Development Fund. We had eight bottles of whisky donated to the draw from some generous members and so we bumped the prize list up to 12. Only one bottle is still unclaimed (number 0714).
The winning ticket numbers were as follows: -
0576 - 1st prize of £200 (claimed)
0815 - 2nd prize of £50 (claimed)
0734 - 3d prize of a Fudge Hamper (claimed)
0555 - 4th prize of breakfast for two
Bottles of whisky prizes were 0752 (cl), 1027 (cl), 0783 (cl), 0714, 1401 (cl), 1390 (cl), 0570 (cl) and 0626 (cl).
In the barrel collection, we managed to exchange a lot of the obsolete foreign stuff and some obscure foreign notes and coins for £109. Plus the volunteers’ match day tea and coffee stall tipped in around £30. With the usual assortment of coins and notes the barrel collection added up to £261. Well done to everyone who contributed in any way - much appreciated.
All in all we raised a total of £1,341 for the DF at the Gloucester game. That means that the running total for the season now stands at £17,332 raised for the Development Fund from home matches.
Christmas Draw update
Almost £2,700 in ticket sales has now been returned but there are still 2,300 tickets out there. Please can we all try to return cash and stubs as early as possible to the office during office hours, to the membership stall or the volunteers signing in desk at the Hednesford game. Also they can be given to any of the Pound for the Ground team at the Bradford away game. There will be a few of us in the clubhouse pre match and the main stand during. There are only two weeks to the draw on 2 January at the Bradford PA home game.
Season’s greetings to everyone.
