In order to generate additional playing budget, Manager Neil Reynolds has made the extremely difficult decision in asking Jamie Milligan, FC United’s Assistant Manager, to leave the club.
Reynolds explained “I spoke to Jamie at length and he fully understands the reasons. The saving we make from Jamie’s departure will go towards the playing budget, as I look to strengthen the squad for the last 17 matches of the season. I want the thank Jamie for all his efforts whilst at the club. He will be a big loss on the coaching side and assisting me. For the interim period I will not be having an Assistant Manager but will continue to rely on the support of my back-room staff.”
Milligan, who is a UEFA A qualified coach and runs his own academy, joined FC United in October alongside Manager Neil Reynolds. As well as being Assistant Manager, Milligan also made three appearances for the first team.
On behalf of everyone at FC United we would like to thank Jamie for his time at the club and wish him all the very best for the future.
