Announcement: Paul Smith, Head of Finance & Operations

FC United would like to let supporters know that Paul Smith, Head of Finance & Operations, has resigned from his role and will be leaving the Club after serving an agreed notice period.

Paul was appointed in December 2018 and helped guide the Club to financial security that we’ve never previously enjoyed.  

Paul said: "It's been a huge privilege to work for the Club for what's been a pretty intense three years. Throughout my time here, I’ve worked with a really great team and it has been a genuine pleasure to serve the best fans in non-league football. I wish the Club – the staff, fans and the Board – the very best for the future.” 

A statement from the Board said: “The FC United Board would like to thank Paul for his hard work over the last three years. Paul joined the Club during a period of financial uncertainty and played a major role in turning around the Club’s operations and finances. Paul leaves the Club in a far better place than when he arrived, and we wish him every success in his new endeavours.”

FC United will be recruiting a replacement for Paul, and more details of this will follow as soon as possible.
