FCUM v South Shields. Tuesday, 1st November, 7.45pm

Post by Paul Hinson »

South Shields have won their last 5 League games. FCUM are unbeaten in their last 6 League games.
The only previous meeting was a friendly at Mariners Park in July 2017, won 3-0 by the Mariners.
The Mariners have the best defensive record in the Division with 4 goals conceded and are yet to concede in the first 30 minutes.
Manager Graham Fenton scored twice for Blackburn Rovers against Newcastle United in 1996 which helped prevent his boyhood idols winning the Premier League title.
Striker Jason Gilchrist scored 29 goals in 62 appearances for FCUM between 2016 and 2017.
Midfielder Nathan Lowe scored 9 goals in 42 appearances for FCUM between 2016 and 2017.
Defender Adam Thurston made 24 appearances for FCUM in the 2015-16 season.

Please note that the North and West stands are not open for this fixture.

Supporters will be able to reserve seats in one block of the Main Stand on a first come first served basis, by calling the FC United office 24 hours before kick-off on 0161 769 2005. A maximum of 4 seats can be reserved per person. Those who have reserved seating need to collect a wristband from the FC United office accessible through the main reception on the day of the match. These wristbands will only be available until the kick off time of the match.

There will be three bars open throughout the ground.
Alcoholic drinks are permitted to be consumed in view of the pitch and therefore served in plastic glasses.

The Main Function room will be open from 6.00pm-8.45pm serving hot food, alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages.

There is no entry to the shop at half-time, however there maybe a Merchandise stall inside the ground between the corner of the SMRE and Main stand with a few items for sale during the game. Paul – this might change as we might put a ‘club shop’ branch under the SMRE but don’t mention this now.

We advise that all supporters read the travel information and make a note of where traffic marshals will ask you to refrain from parking.

Unfortunately the Free Shuttle Buses will not run for this fixtures.
Supporters can also take the 181/182 First Bus service from Lever Street in Manchester city centre, alighting outside the ground on St. Mary’s Road.
