ROCHDALE AFC EDS 1 FC UNITED of MANCHESTER YOUTH 4
FC United of Manchester Youth recorded their first home and away league double of the season with this 4-1 away National League u19 Alliance Division ’H’ win against Rochdale AFC EDS at a rain-soaked Heywood Sports Village on Wednesday afternoon.

This was despite the home side taking an early 5th minute lead with a crisply taken goal scored by the ever-dangerous DAMANI HALL.

The Young Reds then tried hard to get back into the game, but it wasn’t until the 37th minute that they managed to do so, KELVIN AMADO taking advantage of an error by the home side to score from the narrowest of angles.

Four minutes into the second half and the visitors took the lead, JACK BENNETT powering home a header from a Mason Beard corner.

On 53 minutes, it was 3-1. Another corner, this time from Sandro Da Costa, and another header, this time it was KELVIN AMADO who applied the finishing touch.

And on 68 minutes, KELVIN AMADO completed the scoring, and a personal hat-trick, sending home ’keeper Leo Spencer the wrong way from the 12 yard spot after having been fouled just a moment earlier.

The result leaves FC United of Manchester Youth with two wins and six points from their opening four National League u19 Alliance fixtures.
