FC United of Manchester Academy 'A' team's latest AoC Sport North West Mens Football Championship Invitational league fixture saw the Young Reds go down to a narrow 2-3 away defeat against the Fowler Education Football Academy Team One at Wavertree Sports Centre on Wednesday afternoon.
The FC United team had taken an early 2nd minute lead after LEWIS URSA had converted a cross from Renato Neves, the first of a number of fine runs down the wing by the number three.
Defensive errors then saw the home side draw level on 15 minutes before they then took the lead on 28 minutes to turn round 2-1 up at the interval.
A third goal for the home side then made it 3-1 midway into the second half before GOLD BADMUS pulled one back for the visitors on 83 minutes.
