FC UNITED of MANCHESTER YOUTH + ACADEMY XI 3 UDA SOCCER ACADEMY 0
An FC United of Manchester’s Youth and Academy ’A’ team played the UDA Soccer Academy from Chester in a Easter holidays challenge match on the Broadhurst Park 3G on Wednesday afternoon and recorded a useful 3-0 win.
The Young Reds took an early lead on just 5 minutes when ELLIS O’REILLY’s low shot somehow evaded a crowd of players in the visitors’ six yard box to roll into the net.
On 7 minutes, it was 2-0 as an LEO PINTO ROCHA effort found the back of the goal via the visitors’ goalkeeper.
The UDA defence settled after that, and it wasn’t until the 53rd minute that FC United made sure of the result. Kevin Zokou fired an angled shot across the face of the goal and ZAID BAROUDI ran into force the ball over the line from one foot out.
The Young Reds will be back in action again with another friendly match on Wednesday 24th April 2019 when they host International House (Manchester) on the Broadhurst Park 3G, (KO 1.30 pm).
