The FC United of Manchester Youth team's latest in a series of friendly matches was on Monday morning against UCFB's Second XI, with the two teams sharing a 1-1 draw on the Broadhurst Park 3G.
SHERIFF KABBA opened the scoring for the Young Reds on 7 minutes with a close range header from a Mason Beard free kick.
Former FC United youth team 'keeper Mason Walker did well to keep out a Kelvin Amado header on 55 minutes that would have put the home side two goals up, and the save was to prove crucial less than eight minutes later when JORDON KONG grabbed the equaliser with a close range finish.
One goal each was a fair result and next up for the Reds youth team is a trip to the Silverlands stadium on Wednesday to face their counterparts from Buxton FC.
