FC UNITED of MANCHESTER YOUTH 4 STOCKPORT COUNTY FC YOUTH 1
FC United of Manchester Youth team recorded a fine 4-1 home win against Stockport County FC Youth on the Broadhurst Park 3G on Wednesday afternoon in their last-but-one National League u19 Alliance Division ’J’ league fixture before the Christmas/New Year break.

ABDUL MUKTADIR set the ball rolling with a goal inside the opening 3 minutes, scoring from a right wing cross sent over by Dillon Kirkman.

On 18 minutes, it was 2-0, as SAM HARDING looped a superb effort over the helpless Stockport ’keeper from fully 30 yards out.

The visitors then rallied briefly. First, Sajjad El Hassan rattled the FC United crossbar on 23 minutes, before substitute ABDUL NASSRAT found the back of the net, just four minutes later, to make it 2-1.

Another goal for Stockport at this stage might have proved crucial, but as it transpired, it was FC United who were to score next, DILLON KIRKMAN collecting a pass from Jacobe Anderson before steering the ball home on 37 minutes.

That made the score 3-1 at the interval, and with chances at a premium in the second half, it wasn’t until the 78th minute that MAX LEWENS made sure of the result, when he controlled a long Kane Stockley through ball, before turning and curling a shot home from the edge of the area.

FC United of Manchester Youth are next in action on Wednesday 19th December 2018, when they travel over to the Solar Campus in Wallasey for a league fixture against Tranmere Rovers Youth (KO 12.30 p.m.)
