FC UNITED of MANCHESTER YOUTH 6 FARSLEY CELTIC FC YOUTH 0
FC United of Manchester Youth Team equalled their best result of the season with this 6-0 home win against Farsley Celtic FC Youth on the Broadhurst Park 3G on Wednesday afternoon, a result that keeps them in fourth place in the National League u19 Alliance ’J’ Division.

After a closely contested opening half hour, it was Farsley Celtic FC Youth who nearly got on to the scoresheet first, when Ras Diamond’s goalbound shot was tipped onto the crossbar by home ’keeper Sulaiman Sajjad on 38 minutes.

The miss was to prove costly for the visitors when ELLIOT JORGE SIMOES INACIO grabbed the opener for the home side on 42 minutes, this after good build up play on the left hand side by Max Lewens.

On the stroke of half-time, ELLIOT JORGE SIMOES INACIO rounded the ’keeper to make it 2-0 to the Young Reds and when the same player curled home his third goal on 51 minutes, there looked to be no way back for Farsley.

So it proved as substitute Jay Brennan set up MAX LEWENS for goal number four on 56 minutes, before the home side further extended their lead on 60 minutes when TEMI OROPO, on for Max Lewens, fired home from close range to make it 5-0.

Team captain SAM O’DONNELL rounded off the scoring on 85 minutes with goal number six after being played in by hat-trick man Elliot Jorge Simoes Inacio.

This was a much improved performance by the FC United of Manchester Youth team who now face a trip to FC Halifax Town Youth in West Yorkshire in a fortnight’s time.
