FC UNITED of MANCHESTER YOUTH 1 WREXHAM AFC u19s 3

FC United of Manchester Youth team went down to their first home National League u19 Alliance Division 'H' league defeat of the 2021-22 season following this 1-3 reverse against Wrexham AFC u19s on the Broadhurst Park 3G on Wednesday afternoon.

This was despite taking a 20th minute lead through ARLO BULLER, who beat the offside trap when collecting a through pass from Toby Humphries before advancing and slotting the ball past Louis Parr in the visitors' goal.

On 30 minutes, Wrexham drew level. Home defender Terence Lunt was unlucky to see an attempted clearance deflected back into the danger zone, and KAI EVANS took full advantage to send a low shot past home 'keeper Josh Brooks.

Worse was to follow. In the fifth minute of first half time added on, OLLIE HITCHCOX was ideally placed to arrow a Tom Jenkins corner past Brooks to give Wrexham a 2-1 interval lead.

And the visitors from North Wales made sure of the destination of the three points on offer when DAN JONES added a third, via an upright, on 53 minutes.

The home side had the ball in the Wrexham net on the stroke of full time, but the effort was disallowed for offside.
