WREXHAM AFC u19s 2 FC UNITED of MANCHESTER YOUTH TEAM 1
FC United of Manchester Youth team will be somewhat disappointed not to have gained a share of the points following Wednesday's late 1-2 away defeat against Wrexham AFC u19s at Colliers Park, Gresford on Wednesday afternoon in the National League u19 Alliance Division 'H'.
The opening half was a tight affair, with chances at a premium, the home side going closest with a 19th minute effort that skimmed off the visitors' crossbar.
On 50 minutes, FC United took the lead. Yann Daryl Tchokotcheu was tripped inside the Wrexham penalty area, and up stepped TOBY HUMPHRIES to send his spot kick wide of home 'keeper Louie Parr.
The lead was to prove short lived. On 57 minutes, Wrexham u19s drew level through substitute JAKE TOWSE.
And just when it looked as if FC United might hold on to a share of the points, Wrexham snatched a late 88th minute winner from the penalty spot. FC's Nathaniel Egyiri was adjudged to have impeded a home forward, and TOM JENKINS made no mistake from the 12 yard mark.
