FC United of Manchester's latest pre-season friendly saw the Young Reds held to a 1-1 home draw by the North of England Football Academy (Frickley Academy Youth) on the Broadhurst Park 3G.
The home side had taken the lead on 27 minutes, when a dipping shot from just outside the area by TAYLOR McDOWELL somehow squirmed past the fingertips of the visiting 'keeper.
The visitors from South Yorkshire drew level on 74 minutes from the penalty mark. FC United substitute James Corry made a rash challenge on Isaac Kamara, and DYLAN STEVENSON stepped up to fire past home goalkeeper Filimon Gezae from the 12 yard spot.
The draw a fair result, and the Youth team's next (and final) pre-season friendly is an away game against Romulus FC Youth next Monday 23rd August 2021 (K.O. 1.00 p.m.)
