A last minute goal from Favour Bolaji helped the FC United of Manchester Academy ’A’ team to register a 2-1 home win against International House (Manchester) in Monday afternoon’s challenge match on the Broadhurst Park 3G.

The visitors, who had recorded a 3-0 win in the previous encounter between the two sides in September, opened the scoring from the penalty spot on 14 minutes.

Kelvin Agyei was adjudged to have fouled an opponent inside the 18 yard box, and the visitors’ ARSHIA ELAHI sent Drayke Holland the wrong way from the resultant spot kick.

On the half hour mark, FC United of Manchester Academy ’A’ team drew level. INIOLUWA GBADEGESIN was allowed far too much room inside the visitors’ penalty area to turn and fire a low shot past under the International House goalkeeper.

On 33 minutes, the home side almost edged in front, Kelvin Agyei’s long range free-kick striking an upright before bouncing wide.

Just when it looked as if the match would finish one goal apiece, FC United of Manchester Academy ’A’ team snatched an 89th minute winner when the ball fell kindly for FAVOUR BOLAJI who steered the ball home from just inside the International House goal area.
