FC United of Manchester Academy 'B' team recorded their first win of the season with this high-scoring 7-4 away Friday Friendly Development League win against the Cheadle Town Academy at Park Road, Cheadle on Friday afternoon.
FINN DOONER opened the scoring for the visitors with a close range finish on 7 minutes, courtesy of an Emmanuel Johnson assist.
On 15 minutes, it was 2-0. Noel Jung was fouled in the penalty area and FINN DOONER's well-struck low spot kick was just out of reach of the home 'keeper.
On 24 minutes, LEWIS URSA added a third, outpacing a number of home defenders on his way to goal.
Cheadle Town's No. 7 then pulled one back for the home side on 38 minutes, before TOM BROMLEY restored FC United's three goal advantage just a couple of minutes later with a shot straight at (and past) the home net minder.
After the second half restart, the hosts then quickly scored their second on 49 minutes, before GOLD BADMUS collected the ball on the halfway line on 55 minutes and then advanced to the edge of the home penalty area before firing home to make it 5-2.
Cheadle Town then countered with a couple of goals on 60 minutes and 64 minutes, both scored by their dangerous-looking No. 11, to briefly reduce FC United's lead to just one goal.
A fiercely struck low shot by NOEL JUNG on 75 minutes helped steady any FC United nerves, however, and industrious build-up play by Emmanuel Johnson then set up LEWIS URSA for a seventh and final goal on 81 minutes.
