On Saturday 22nd April ko 3pm, FC United make their final away league trip of the season to Nuneaton Town in the Vanarama National League North. Admission is pay on the gate £14 Adults, £12 Concessions, £3 u/16s and free of charge for under 10s. Any supporter wishing to transfer to the seats must pay an additional fee of £2.

Nuneaton Town currently sit two places and 6 points above FC in the league. With just two matches remaining, FC United on 48pts will need to win both games to beat last season’s points tally of 53.

FC United will be hoping to end a disappointing run of form and get back to winning ways having won just once in our last 7 league matches. Nuneaton on the other hand are unbeaten in their last 7 League games (won 4 drawn 3) and are finishing the season strongly following a very poor start to the season that saw them win just once in their first 9 matches.

In 2008 Nuneaton Borough went into liquidation and were reformed as Nuneaton Town, being demoted two divisions by the FA from Conference North to Southern League Division One. Nuneaton Borough famously defeated Third Division Swansea City in 1993 and First Division Stoke City in 2000 in FA Cup upsets.

Goalkeeper Christian Dibble is the son of former Wales and Manchester City keeper Andy Dibble, who won 3 International caps. Striker Joe Ironside was in the Sheffield United side that lost the 2011 FA Youth Cup Final at Manchester United 6-3 on aggregate.

Boro manager Tommy Wright made one Premier League appearance for Leicester City in March 2002. Wright took over as Nuneaton Town manager just before they played FCUM at Broadhurst Park in November 2016. FC on that occasion ran out comfortable 3-0 winners thanks to goals from Kieren Glynn, Jerome Wright and Luke Ashworth. When the two sides met again in the FA Trophy in early December at Broadhurst Park, Nuneaton won 5-1, FC’s heaviest FA Trophy loss.
