Andy Cheshire, FC United’s Community and Education Manager will be leaving the club on 24th March to take up a similar post at Curzon Ashton FC.

Andy, who relocated from Scotland to join FC United in May 2015, has been instrumental in setting up a number of community initiatives at our new home in Moston.

Of his departure, Andy said;

“First of all I’d like to say it’s been a privilege to work for FC United of Manchester since May 2015. I moved from Glasgow to take up the position and to reinvigorate the community outreach work that FC United are so proud to be committed to.

"I believe that there has been some very successful projects generated since my arrival and I am extremely proud to have established the Sporting Memories Group which has grown to be an established group within the club and of course our Christmas initiative which generated a lot of positive publicity for the club.

“It has been a challenging time to work at the club and I hope that the club can grow from strength to strength in the coming seasons. I am leaving to start a new challenge and I hope that I have ensured that the community work of the club is on a more stable footing and can thrive and continue to be of benefit to the people of Moston and North Manchester.???

On behalf of everyone at the Club we would like to wish Andy all the very best in his new role at Curzon Ashton and would like to thank him for his hard work and determination over the past two years.
