Turnstile 4 at the St. Mary’s Road End is a designated Development Fund turnstile which allows supporters to donate money in addition to the normal admission price. The DF Turnstile accepts Adults, Concessions, Juniors entering with ST’s/LMTB’s or cash.

CYCM – 11.22am to 3pm in Main Stand Function Room

Course You Can Malcolm, our club night in the afternoon, returns to the Main Stand Function Room on Saturday. CYCM is open to all, but we encourage fans to get there early to avoid disappointment as the room has limited capacity.

Full details will be announced soon, but a rough outline is as follows:

At 11.22am we have a session called ’Rubbing it Red’. You’ll remember ‘The 8.15 from Manchester’? Well on Saturday we are having an ’11.22 from Manchester’. Stood by the bar area, in front and behind, will be representatives from Manchester fanzines and progressive communications folk. The discussions we will be having will be about facing forward and keeping the scarlet standard fluttering against the footballing odds.

From roughly 1pm, we’ll have a talk from Pam at the Hummingbird Project, who are a local grassroots organisation, that raises funds and collect desperately needed aid to send to Syria and refugee hot spots around Europe.

Also we have Shelagh Delaney’s DNA on the stage in the form of Charlotte her daughter. Shelagh Delaney was an English dramatist and screenwriter, best known for her debut work, A Taste of Honey (1958). Charlotte is just working through her play with Moston’s MaD Thetare and she’s going to do a few mins for us.

And finally we have Cabbage playing live. Cabbage are a Manchester based five piece serving up an idiosyncratic, satirical attack in the form of discordant neo post-punk. They go on tour on the 1st of February and we get them for freemans just before they do. Their song ‘Uber Capitalist Death Trade’ is whacking it around the BBC6 play lists. They sing songs with the words ‘I was born in the NHS and will die in the NHS’ and have a good go at Donald Trump too.

In the background to all this, and tying it all in a big red bow between the turns, will be vinyl from the ‘Hidden Gems’ soul DJ Scott Taylor using his 7,000+ LP collection.

Supporters can gain access to Main Stand Function Room via the main reception.

The Main Stand Function Room will be partitioned off with two thirds of the room allocated to CYCM. The remaining third will be open as a bar.

BARS AND FOOD

The Main Stand Function Room Bar will serve hot food together with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks before and after the match. Alcohol will not be sold in the function room at half time but soft drinks, teas and coffees and food will be available.

Before the turnstiles open at 1pm, access to the Main Stand Function Room Bar is via the main reception by payment of the match admission price, or on production of the relevant Season Ticket voucher. After the turnstiles open, entry to the function room will be via turnstiles 1 to 6 or 9 to 12 and then through the seated area of the main stand.

The SMRE Bar situated under the St. Mary’s Road End terrace will serve draught beer and bottles before the match and at half-time. Hot food, tea’s and coffees will also be served at the far end of the SMRE Bar.

Under the Main Stand Food Bar will serve hot food prepared by our chef and pies from Mettricks and non-alcoholic drinks.

Herbies located adjacent to turnstiles 1-4 at the St. Mary’s Road End will serve hot food and non-alcoholic drinks before the match and is also accessible during half time.

Please note the Main Stand Bar and SMRE Bars are No Smoking Areas. Supporters wishing to smoke at half-time can do so in the designated areas outside of the ground by turnstiles 1-4 at the St. Mary’s Road End.

MATCH PROGRAMME

The Match programme is priced at £2 and available to buy from sellers outside and inside the ground.

POUND FOR THE GROUND TICKETS

We are still raising money for the club’s Development Fund, as there’s still parts of the ground we still need to complete. The quickest and easiest way is to buy a Pound for the Ground ticket at £1 each at Saturday’s match.

Your ticket will be entered into the draw, to be drawn at half time, where the winners win £200, the runner up wins £50 and for the 3rd prize winner a fudge hamper.

MERCHANDISE – JANUARY SALE

The Megastall will once again be open and located inside the ground between the Main Stand and the St. Mary’s Road End. As well as the usual hats, scarves and badges, we will also be selling the home and away replica shirts (shorts and socks) and a range of T-shirts and jackets.

Alternatively you can order these from the FC United Online shop

  • For £3, there is safe parking at St Matthew’s RC High School, which is less than five minutes’ walk away from the ground.

    PUBLIC TRANSPORT

The nearest tram stop is Newton Heath and Moston on the Victoria to Rochdale line. It is a 15 or 20 minute walk up to the ground, but there is a shuttle bus from the Railway pub (turn right at the top of the tram stop steps).

Two football special buses will be running from Stevenson Square in the city centre to the ground. The buses are operated by First Buses and will leave from Stop TE in Stevenson Square.

The cost is £1.50 single. No return tickets available.

After the match the buses leave Broadhurst Park they are full. Departure is approximately five minutes after the final whistle, from Lightbowne Road.
