Match Day Volunteers - Thank You

Whilst there was a heroic performance on the pitch against Chorley there was an equally heroic performance off it as well, from our match day volunteers.

For every home game we have an army of dedicated volunteers that ensure that our games run smoothly, in fact without them our home games would not go ahead at all! Each home game our FC volunteers run virtually all aspects of the match day operations, all arrive early, most finish late. Some get to see most of the game, some get to see snippets of the game, others get to see none of it. Even more remarkable when you consider the fact that most are season ticket holders.

For the Chorley game the volunteer teams pulled out all the stops to ensure 4,152 spectators were able to enjoy a fantastic game of non league football. For a club at our level to accommodate 4,152 people on a Saturday is some undertaking, for us to be able to deal with this size of crowd on a mid week evening is truly awe inspiring and bodes well for our move to Moston.

Whilst we have all been proud of the performances of the 1st team over recent weeks we should be equally proud of the ever consistent performance of our volunteer teams.
