Race Times and Names and ...“The club’s thanks go to all those hardy supporters who sacrificed their day in another effort to get us on the road to Moston in the Minithon on a wet autumnal Sunday,??? says club General Manager, Andy Walsh. “Over the next few days, I hope every supporter will still be using the opportunity to raise much needed funds for the club. You can see how they ran here and scroll down for all the under an hour times. I hope those who weren’t involved will show their thanks to the supporters who took to the mud tracks to get us to our new home by backing them with a donation in the listings below.???

Money raised offline by participants needs to be:

sent to the club office, Hope Mill, 113 Pollard Street, Manchester M4 7JB, clearly marked with one’s full name and whether the money has been raised for the club or the Club and ACE
or
ring the club office 01612738950 to pay by debit card
or
handed in at the Gigg Lane FC Membership Stall, in an envelope clearly marked with one’s full name and whether the money has been raised for the club or the Club and ACE
or
if you have an online fundraising page, you can donate it from your bank card then keep the cash.

If there is nobody you know who participated, you can of course back Andy (£135) here and Margy and the Men’s Team (£120) herewho are now toe to toe with Beth Tattersall and the Women’s Team (£120) here.

In the Fundraising Stakes, Tony Tarpey’s Team ($774) over in California appear to have an unchallengeable lead. Coming into the final furlong, Southern man, Jonathan Allsopp (£279) is a length ahead of Vinny Thompson (£245) and daughter Ella, but now being challenged by the Julian Barraclough/Clare Sykes team (£240). Old Grey Mare, Tom Stott’s (£187) renewed wind has taken him past Glyn Fez Williams (£180) and John England (£175). Another surprise late mover is Mark Abbotts (£140) who has his nose ahead of the chasing pack, including Andy Walsh (£135), Nick Duckett (£135) and slipping back down the field, Robin Pye (£120). Taking the last hurdle,Stuart Craig (£118) looks like pipping Steve Pagnam (£115) and the hobbling Steve Mills (£100). If you want to give them a hand, click on their links in the race listings below.

Thanks again to our Foreign Legions who Minithoned on Bondi Beach, in LA, in Boston Massachusetts, Strasbourg, in Japan, the Isle of Man, Saudi and Abu Dhabi.

In Manchester, Chris Small won the race in a Minithon 5k world record time of 18mins and 50 seconds (the first runner in six years ever to go under 19 minutes). Joseph Pimblett (29.57) took the fastest male under 18 crown off Michael Burtonwood junior The Two Toms, Tom Greaves and Tom Davies were the fastest male players whilst Beth Tattersall was the fastest female (scroll down for race winners list). Glyn Williams made off with the prize for the Best Dressed Male and Trafford were once more acclaimed the Best Dressed Branch.
