Minithon October 2012
This year’s FC United Minithon is on Sunday October 21st and will be part of the national Community Games programme designed to use the Olympics to get people involved in sports and healthy living activities. The event will be run in conjunction with our charity partner, Manchester-based ACE Centre North. ACE is now the recognised national charity for assisting and training people with severe communication difficulties. Stockport County Supporters Co-op and Rochdale Hornets are rejoining the Minithon and Mancunians Rugby League are expected to follow suit. The event will again be staged on Chorlton Meadows. We had intended this year to run the event in Boggart Hole Clough in North Manchester but after encountering some difficulties securing post-event facilities in Moston the M40 and event organisers have decided that we will remain in Chorlton for one more year. The Minithon raises thousands of pounds for FC and our chosen charity and is a great way for people to get out and get active. Can you get your family, workmates or college mates involved?
