FC United of Manchester recorded a 2-1 home win against Macclesfield Town Blues in the Football Conference Youth Alliance on the Broadhurst Park 3G pitch on Wednesday afternoon.
After a goalless first half, Rhodri Giggs’ young charges opened the scoring in the 48th minute with a goal from Cameron Horner.
Eight minutes later, Macclesfield netted an equaliser with a goal from their No. 9 Liam Turner.
FC weren’t to be denied, however, and in the 74th minute, substitute Robson Buckley netted the winner from the penalty spot.
