Development Fund 2012/13

FC United's Development Fund (DF) has played a critical role in getting us this close to our dream of having our own ground.

In total, since its inception, we have raised over £500k through the Development Fund - a fantastic achievement that is a testament to the passion, dedication and generosity of FC United supporters everywhere and in particular to those stalwarts who have been part of the DF committee, guiding and steering our fundraising to these heights.

The real success of our volunteers and The DF committee has been to achieve a range of fundraising initiatives that are now part of the fabric of the club, self sustaining, and managed by our volunteer army, who have become accomplished in their own areas and with their own projects.

Now we need to push on to fund fitting and furnishing of our Moston home. Based on latest estimates we believe we need to raise a further £170k during the preparation and build period - about a year in total .This calls for us to maintain our usual fundraising and find some new ways to to increase income to the DF. Reaching this target will help us fund the build as well as the fit out of the ground and facilities.

What can you do to help ?

  • Set up a standing order (or increase an existing one)
  • Join the holiday draw (entry now until Sept 30th)
  • Support the Gala Dinner
  • Join Treasureline
  • Buy Pound for the Ground Tickets
  • Keep the barrels full
  • Buy or add to your Community shares

See the panels opposite for details.

We are working on plans for KIT - IT - OUT - an initiative that will enable you to buy, fund and donate towards all the fixtures fittings and equipment needed for us to be up and running for the start of the 2013/14 season. We will also be inviting you to get involved and volunteer your skills in appropriate areas. We will announce more details in the autumn, but ahead of this it is vital that everyone helps through the existing channels.

Fund Raising Options

We have over 3,200 co-owners of the club we all know somebody who might be willing to help if only we asked them for their support. If each of us brought in just £1 extra per week we would reach our £170k DF target.

Donate:
Donate to the Development Fund: set up a standing order - click here for info, by post (send a cheque to our Hope Mill office), by phone (0161 273 8950), on matchdays (DF barrels and buckets) and on-line (at our on-line club shop).

Standing Order:
To build and kit out our ground we need more regular donations this year. Please set up a standing order, however small, or consider increasing your standing order by £1 or even £5 per month? Do you know someone you could ask take out a standing order for £1 per week or £5 per month? Click here for more info.

Treasureline:
The Treasureline is a weekly lottery open to all FC fans, families and friends. Each Treasureline member receives a membership card bearing eight separate unique numbers. This represents eight individual chances to win up to £1,000 weekly. Click here for more info.

Holiday Draw:
Do you want the chance to win £5,000 towards your holiday? Win £5,000 towards your holiday with FC and COOPTRAVEL The Holiday Draw raises a £1,000 every month towards the DF, but with your help can raise more. For just £10 per month you get the chance to win £1,000 holiday voucher each and every month and a £5,000 holiday voucher at the end of the year. Click here for more info.

DF Barrels:
Another way to donate every game is to look out of the green barrels inside and outside the Gigg Lane to deposit your loose change in for the DF. They've been a regular feature at all home games over the last couple of years and have so far raised thousands of pounds for the DF. Click here for more info.

Pound for the Ground:
Pound for the Ground tickets are available for every home league game, the winning ticket is draw at half time and the lucky winner receives £200. Click here for more info.

Community Shares:
The Community Share Scheme (CSS) is still open. FC United ground breaking initiative has proved a huge success and presents a very real way for transforming the game of football by giving supporters a way of raising money for their clubs.

Other supporter owned clubs are now looking at raising finance through their own community share schemes, supporter trusts at League and Premier League clubs have made enquiries about raising cash through community shares too.

FC United's CSS has so far raised over £1.7m. This is already a magnificent achievement, we have smashed our original target of £1.6m but have kept the scheme open as every pound extra in the scheme takes us a step closer to the ground and reduces the need to rely on any borrowing. If you already have shares then you can buy more with no minimum purchase level, £10, £50, £100 whatever you can afford. If you have not yet had a chance to buy any shares then the minimum purchase cost is £200 and a standing order option is available to help make the purchase cost more affordable.
